Tai Poutini Polytechnic

The Southern Institute of Technology needed more teaching space for their Christchurch campus. From design, consent, and tender right through to construction; Wall Projects managed every aspect of this project.

We worked closely with all stakeholders to ensure their requirements were met. Particular care was taken throughout the process to ensure works did not disrupt the on-campus operations of Southern Institute of Technology.

The pre-constructed building was manufactured at Southern Institute of Technology and then relocated just a stone’s throw away. Originally built as a residential dwelling, the building was carefully adapted for commercial use. This required a host of compliance measures including fire protection and emergency lighting. It’s now a fully functional office and teaching space with power, data, and all the accessibility requirements for a modern learning environment.
